Grandfather: all the things which happened in the past is history.
Son: yesterday that we went to the zoo was history?
Grandfather: no, because it wasn't important.
Son: is my father's date of death history?
Grandfather: no.
Son: but he was important to me.

There is ambiguity in grandpa's answer, from whose point of view should it be Important? I think history is not just about importance, it is related to people and how many people are influenced with that phenomenon. In this case may grandpa's death isn't related to history nut Khamenei's death would be certainly sth related to history because dictator's death are always important, like Hitler's death.
